Employees of Alzheimer’s Care are specifically selected for their personal commitment to Alzheimer’s patients and for their caring, creative, spontaneous qualities. In addition, they undergo extensive special training to help them deal with this illness.
Our Alzheimer’s Care Directors attend annual training seminars sponsored by the company, where they are educated on the latest innovations and techniques for working with people who have Alzheimer’s disease.
Also, every employee in every Alzheimer’s care unit must complete a minimum of 20 hours of training every year -- in addition to regular in-services -- to give them the knowledge and skills necessary to work with this special population. And when our residents need physical, occupational or speech therapy, we provide professional therapy staff specially trained to work with patients with dementia.
