We’re very proud of the work we do in communities all across the United States. Our customers tell us every day about the large and small successes they see with their loved ones in our care, and we’d like you to hear some of their comments.

"These are tough decisions to make -- when and where to place a loved one. I used checklists and visited other facilities. After making the decision to move Mom to [Alzheimer's Care], I've never regretted it and I know I made the right decision.

"One of the things that I really like about 'your home' is the concept of family meals served family-style. I feel Mom is happier and more contented than at our home -- and I'm sure she adjusted quicker than we did.

"I'd like you to know how much I appreciate everyone and all that they do for Mom and, indirectly, the rest of my family."

--Linda Laing, daughter of Mary Benson

"My wife has been a resident of [your nursing home] for three years. I see all these residents being helped and see the attachment between the help and the residents, which at times is hard to believe but very satisfying to families of residents. I have very high regard for all the help at [Alzheimer's Care]."

--Roger Shaw, husband of Dora Shaw

"I'd like to say something to 'the powers that be' here at [Alzheimer's Care]. The Country Corners unit where my mother is now is a very special comfort for me and my sister and brother. Our mother is very special to all of us. Facing the obvious (putting Mother in an Alzheimer's unit) was very hard, and we dragged our feet probably a little long. But in the end it was what we had to do.

"Her arrival here was met with hope, positive gestures and caring from all of the girls working here. They reassured us daily and helped us to accept her stay here as better for Mother and for us. As time went on with just about daily visits, I came to see how the girls care for and nurture the residents. I can tell you that they are my heroes. Mother pretty much recognizes them and plays with them, and they play with her and treat her as a special person. They are good to all of the residents, and we are all thankful and grateful."

--Dixie Scott, daughter of Ruth Hinson

"Our mother, Marceil Waltemath, moved into [the nursing home] on July 16, 2003. Everyone on the nursing staff has been so genuine in their care and affection for our mother. We see this all the time -- given to our mother and all the other residents, as we, my sister Becky and I, are normally over to visit our mother every 2-3 days.

"The quality of the care our mother is receiving we could not have found anywhere else. The entire nursing staff, and the Director, Rhonda Neely, are truly dedicated to the care of our mother and all the other residents."

--Randy Waltemath, son of Marceil Waltemath

"I received a lot of help from Pat and Beth in making a decision on where to put Beatrice. After she was at [the nursing home] a short time, it was suggested that she be put in the Alzheimer's section. She has seemed to be very comfortable, and seems to get along well with the other patients. The staff have been very helpful in letting me know how things are going. Her son, George, said that he was very pleased with [Alzheimer's Care]."
